SPF: Friday the 13th

Happy Friday! Welcome to this week's edition of Kristine's Stuff Portrait Friday, where she gives us a list of things to photograph and we post them. Up this week in honor of it being Friday the 13th:

1. Something you're afraid of.
2. Your Lucky Charm.
3. Something Friday the 13th ish (get creative)

What I'm afraid of is big spiders, especially if they jump. I didn't have any pictures so I did a search. I can't even begin to express how much looking at all the options creeped me out.

This is a shot of camel spiders and if you want to know more about them go here.

My lucky charm would have to be the this. Not so much the actual piece of jewelry, but the idea behind it: my faith in God and Jesus Christ. Prayer has gotten me through some of the toughest times of my life, helped me to see past the immediate need of my own existence, and given me peace when there was none to be found in this world.

The full(ish) moon this morning when I got up looked Friday the 13th ish.

Remember, it's National Delurking Week, and there are still a few of you out there who haven't said hello! Leave me a comment if you played so I can come check out your "Stuff".

Have a great Friday.

Is that second picture of spiders real? Because if it is, I need to die now.

Love your silver cross. I have been meaning to get a nice cross.

Holy cow.

That second spider is insane. I'm not usually afraid of spiders. I once removed on from my high school Calculus class so that someone wouldn't step on him. Yep, I'm weird.

BUT...that camel spider is a different breed, that's for sure!

It's funny. I keep forgetting that other people see the same moon. (sometimes I just don't think things through sometimes, ya know?).

Great SPF!

I love the shot of the moon though. :)

Yeah...I could have done without the spider pictures. ANOTHER thing I am afraid of.

I don't mind them being around...I just don't like them sneaking out from the middle of nowhere or freaking me out when I pick up some laundry and THERE HE IS TO JUMP OUT ON ME!

*heebie*

I'm shocked that every spider I've seen today is different! None of us posted the same spider photo! And that Iraq one freaks me out - I've seen it before! YUCK!

Happy Friday to you! I played!

Warn someone before you post creepy ass spiders! :) EEEK! I once sat outside for 30 minutes until my parents came home because there was a big ass spider in our house that reared up at me and scared the crap out of me.

I've given up on my delurkers, they're apparantly all too stubborn to say 'Hi'. :)

MMC,
My husband is deathly afraid of spiders. I love that shot of the moon. Wasn't it beautiful this morning. I continued to sleep. I also played.

That spider must be a cross between a camel and a spider, thus the name. That sucker was HUGE! Ewww! Another cool moon shot - seems like the weather cooperated to give us all a spooky Friday the 13th!

Okay that is the freakiest spider I have ever seen. I second the faith behind the cross. That is my ulitmate lucky charm as well - my faith. Oh, and I played this week for the first time.

Yes, the camel spiders are horrible. But they're not as big as they appear. Look closely at the right-hand side of the photo and you'll see the sleeve of the soldier holding them. I think they purposely skewed the perspective to make them look bigger. If you go to the link site it tells about how they're not really spiders at all....
