Howdy Folks

Howdy.Folks

We made a totally spontaneous, wildly underplanned, speed-demon dash to Dallas on Friday for the State Fair. Daddy McA is going to be in the Land of the Rising Sun later this month when we had our original trip tentatively planned. So it was this weekend or not at all. Here are a few things I learned:

Little Bit and the Critter do stellar Big Tex imitations.

In an auto show with all vehicle doors unlocked, the likelihood that at least one kid's fingers will get smashed in a door is very very high. Very, very high.

Three hours the the maximum time that my 10 month old will tolerate being in her carseat uninterrupted.

Hampton Inn has come a long way since being bought out by Hilton.

Turns out they CAN fry that. That too.

The train exhibit trains really do stop running at 7 o'clock. on.the.nose.

Rental wagons was someone's really great idea, and priceless for the low, low price of $10.

No matter how much you spend initially, you will have to buy more coupons, probably multiple times.

The slideshow is up on flickr.

Fantastic! Hillarious!

"you can fry that. That, too." ROFL

You should have bought the unlimmited ride bracelets. I learned that lesson after the first fair of this summer.

Yes, you can fry that. Fried coke? Fried Cosmos? Weirdness.

And yes, you will have to buy more coupons.

Great pics!!
